My Ideal Colleges

As senior year slowly begins to creep up on me, I am really thinking about the colleges that interest me in my field of major, which would be chemistry. Prefrible quantum mechanics, I am also considering the environment at which it is located in. I would like a school with a large amount of students and relatively close to the ocean. The vibe would be perfect for me, because I love being part of a vast community of students that are all striving for success. The university next to the beach is ideal for me, it provides a great learning environment, and the ocean calms me and sounds fun to chill at after class. Universities with these traits are UC Santa Cruz, UC Santa Barbra or UC San Diego.

UC Santa Cruz is my first choice because it is close to home and I love Santa Cruz. The bowl at the skate park is crazy fun and I can just skate that all day after class. So being able to skate one of my favorite skate parks while majoring in the subject I really enjoy sounds just perfect.

UC Santa Barbra is a beautiful campus, my friend Alex got accepted there and he is always telling me when he comes up to visit how great it is. The skate parks and skating in the area is great to in southern California were skateboarding thrives and close to the heart of all skate city’s LA. So going to this UC would probably be a dream come true to me.
Lastly UC San Diego is an option however, it is more like one of those that would be fun to apply to and see what happens.

Chem Major In College

My plan to reach my goal of getting in to a UC after senior year, is by going into in to the middle college program at Westvalley. Once there I will start taking various courses related to the subject of chemistry, to get a head start in all the different branches. Their are so many various subjects to pursue or just try out through out my college experience, the ones that im really interested in trying out are physical chemistry, bio chemistry.
Physical chemistry gets my attention because in other words its quantam mechanics, a subject that I fell would be interrsting and fun to research. working in a labratory with advanced machinery, applying the principles of physics to create theories for molecular and celluar sized scenoriors. That are not completey understood, creating a relationship of understanding how reactions of molecular and ionic compounds occur. This also makes be want to try out the concept of nuclear chemistry. Developing a urge to begin to really focus on math and take physics and enhance my skills with it.
Bio chemistry is one the reasons I want to go to UC Santa Cruz, the environment there is great for getting hands on experience with the plant life their. Really going into detail there about the plants at a cellular level. Understanding how the cells and proteins of the body govern the body building that of true sense of relationship and appreciation for it.
By going in to the middle college program I will be able to taket class's that will introduce me to concepts like physical and bio chemistry. Both of which I would be interested in majoring in at UC Santa Cruz.

Chemistry

Ever since I dropped out of physic's class, and transfered to chemistry there instantly became an intrest. To the elements, periodic table and the atoms that make up you and I. There are so many different types and variations of it so I am going to explore all of them. When I transfer to middle college I will seek classes and electives that will help me expand my knowledge of the subject. All the possible careers I could enter in, or establish with chemistry get me really excited of working.
Hopefully in a lab of some sort, creating better and more efficient products. After middle college the university that id like to major in is UC Santa Cruz. With the campus basically being in the middle of the redwoods, it will be a great way to learn and chemically analyze all the plant and wild life there. Not to mention ocean and marine life which also could be researched, getting in to bio chemistry even. The possibilities are endless and I am looking to try all of them and find that one which will spark some passion in me.

Skateboarding

As of right now I have no real idea of what I want to pursue for the rest of my life with passion. Its scary sometimes when I think of it because one day i'm gonna really have to make that choice. However as of right now the pursuit of happiness in my life revolves around my skateboard and , both have given me great memory's and times of major frustration. I learn to avoid the frustration and embrace the pure joy as best as I can when skating, skateboarding teaches me patients and the importance of being consistant which are both needed in the "real world". Taking half an hour or mabe even just 2 minutes to land that trick you were trying, sometimes you really do want to just give up, scream and shout, but there's that drive of progression that is always there telling you not to stop and next try. Then all of a sudden in less than a second  your rolling away and your friends are screaming, your in awe and in some trance of peace were nothing in the world matters anymore because you did it nobody else, you. After all the dopeimyne stops flowing threw your brain next thing you wanna do is be able to do the same trick faster, cleaner, and down something even bigger. This creates the need to be consistant and if you arent it becomes a burden just to try that handrail or set of stairs. So basically skateboarding gives me the tools I need one day to become a succsesfully induvidual in whatever path I fit worthy to call my career.
